🌿 The Truth About the Holidays (That No One Talks About)
The holidays are painted as a season of connection, joy, and family — and for many, it can be. But for just as many others, this time of year can bring up loneliness, grief, sadness, or feelings of being “behind.”
Whether you’re spending the holidays solo, missing someone who isn’t here anymore, or walking through a season that looks different than you imagined… I want you to know something important:
👉 It’s normal to feel this way.
You are not broken. And you’re not alone.
🕯 My Own Holiday Story
I grew up not celebrating the holidays. I used to dream of the big, magical moments I’d create when I had my own family — the dinners, the decorations, the joy.
And while I’ve had many beautiful holiday experiences, this year looks different. I’m spending the holidays solo.
Old Jackie would’ve dreaded it — playing out the story of how hard it would be to be alone on a holiday.
But thanks to tapping, something shifted. Instead of running from my feelings, I met them. I went for walks. I spent time with friends. I did little things that made me feel alive and grateful. And what could’ve been a season of sadness became one of peace and quiet joy.
💫 A Lesson from Joe Dispenza
One thing that really stuck with me came from a podcast episode where Joe said:
“Instead of waiting for your dream partner to build the house in Mallorca… become the person who builds it herself. That’s who your partner will meet.”
This applies to more than love — it’s about not waiting for someone or something to make life feel the way you want it to feel.
It’s about choosing joy and connection even when life doesn’t look like the Hallmark movie in your head.
🪄 Tapping Through Holiday Emotions
It’s one thing to know that. It’s another to feel it.
That’s where tapping comes in.
Here’s a simple script to start:
“Even though I feel [lonely / sad / left out / fill in your feeling], I love and accept myself anyway.”
“Even though this holiday doesn’t look the way I imagined, I can choose to honor how I feel.”
“Even though this is hard, I choose to lean into this moment — and trust it has meaning.”
Take a deep breath and tap through each point slowly. Let yourself feel it. Because the moment we allow our emotions to surface is the moment they begin to move.
💛 You Have the Power to Create Joy
Your joy isn’t dependent on someone showing up for you. It’s something you can choose and create — even in a season that doesn’t go as planned.
I want to remind you of three truths:
This season is temporary.
Your emotions are valid.
You are powerful enough to shift how you feel.
